Sentimental signing and definetly a moral boost at the time. If he feels he can't hack training then no problem with that. He's 39. He came back for all the right reasons but yeh, the reality is he may have felt awful and exhausted.

It's fair enough, didn't work out. We've lost a striker which is bad if RS gets injured, but tht won't happen surely....Anyhoo I think we're at least in the play-offs and in with a chance of winning it.

Only Sunderland could get promoted when it seems extremely unlikely haha

you think he wrote the statement himself? man has an agent and club have PR people to tell him what to write-bearing in mind he is breaking a legally binding contract he will have gpne along with what the club wrote.
 
I'm guessing he's over-estimated his ability to compete even at this level. To be fair to him and giving him the benefit of the doubt you can only realise that fully once playing again. I still think it was a crazy appointment at the time from our side and even more so now it's truly backfired.

Seemed very pally with KLD on the videos released, Im assuming it was him who was pushing for his and Keane's return.

im not saying your wrong but id be surpirsed if KLD wanted keane...KLD is so young and also swiss...would he remember keano as a player at the peak of his powers?

I think it was him with the Instagram stuff which basically made the whole process far more difficult for the club. I'd be very surprised if he didn't know who Roy Keane was but then I'm not in my 20's, swiss or a billionaire so not the best to estimate his previous player/manager knowledge.
