How some people can criticise is strange....youve got 9 goals all season without him
Not criticism about what he has done for the club...but totally true he threw the towel in after being chosen for England & the promise of a free transfer if Sunderland were relegated...don't be blind to the facts!...love the lad though

I do agree with the thrown the towel in as the last few times I've seen you live on nbcsn he's looked so disinterested and his application doesn't seem there. Even the goal he scored at Hull was just a bounce off my knee and in and just meh from him

But without his goals you'd have hit an all time points low probably

Other teams will have noticed his drop in interest. And while its understandable, the clamour for him was strongly based on him scoring in a shit side.

When that dried up he handed interested clubs a little more back in negotiating power with his people.

Course he'll still get a PL move on decent terms but with a tiny ounce of doubt over him.

Never said they weren't, he's made mistakes but he's spent a lot of money
Has he ?...well not recently he hasn't. In fact we are £110 million in debt and we can thank Ellis Short for that. It also sounds like our club has spent a lot of money by putting itself in debt not Short.

He's only looked interested when there's been a chance of a shot at goal, the greedy bastard. You have to think he gets a bonus for every goal he scores.Going down easy in the box, which he and many others do,could help his bank balance being our penalty taker.Zlatan earned £2.86m for scoring 28 goals.Being both Man Utd's penalty taker and deadball specialist around the penalty box would have helped his decision making when deciding whether to go down or stay on his feet after contact.

Short had made a shit load of mistakes, put has also up some of his own money to cover some of our debt. His mistakes have been trusting the wrong people

I don't know how anyone can even think of giving defoe grief.

He's not playing great in the worst team in the division.... I wonder why?

When your colleagues are down it affects you, when theres strife in a team it affects you, when people drop their performance levels it affects you and when you're mathematically confirmed to be the worst team in the entire league it undoubtedly affects you.

He is a legend, he will remain a legend.

Thankyou Jermain lad.

Exactly, what a pile of shite. Kevin Philips in his prime would have struggled to score goals in this team.
It's always harder to score in a shit team if you've decided you're going to be shit as well.

He's back on cockney turf tonight so fingers crossed he puts s shift in.
