Defoe doesn't give a f**k

It could be argued that way, but its a symptom of the root cause which is a greedy player who is determined to get goals for himself no matter what.
It can be seem also that others starting to do the same is detrimental, but its cause and effect,

Yes when he doesnt score and others are better placed. How is that a mystery?
I can't think of a single top goalscorer that isn't greedy. From the days of lineker and rush.

So if by getting goals from himself he's surely getting goals for the team he's playing in? This is turning into one of the most bizarre discussions I've had on here.

Me neither, but they scored a lot more of the chances and if they didnt it wasnt critical as their teams provided plenty of chances per game.
If we get one we needed to maximize the chance to convert. No matter who scores it.

He has not been getting them though.

Give an example
Defoe put Borini thru recently & he missed
Defoe hit the post v Man City , the rebound come out to Borini - he missed a sitter
Who is our next highest scorer behind Defoe ?

Turn it round - has Borini ever put Defoe through and he has missed?

There is some shite posted on here  how the fuck can people criticise Defoe? 15 league goals in this team man

Same as Phillips in his last season. You're best off not scoring golas as a Sunderland Striker it would seem what with the way it is on here.

He's got 15 of the fuckers!

You can't criticise him in the slightest

But I now could not give a shit what he does with his career.

So you wanted him to play for free? The goal against the Mags, his goals last season in key games and he's great work with Bradley all means nothing to some of our fans.

Footballers don't think like us fans. He has his career to think about. He has a small chance of playing in a World Cup and wants to continue to play in the Premier League. What's wrong with that? Will you feel the same about Pickford if he leaves?

Exactly this. The England call up, appearance and goal for JD was hugely significant. Had he been ignored he might just might have been inclined to stay. No chance of that now we are in the Championship

Never been pro short, the only time I've defended him is when some people have said he hasn't backed managers with cash. So yet again your talking shit
Short stopped backing managers with cash years ago hence the club not short having to service it's debt...... £110 million pounds worth of it. A f***ing billionaire putting our club in huge debt only at Sunderland.

We were in big debt when he bought it, we are in more debt now because of managers wasting the money on shit players
