Cannot believe that we have people on here defending the worst Manager in our history .

Tactically inept, utterly clueless and now showing himself to be an utter f***ing coward by refusing to do post match press conference.

How the fuck anyone can defend this clown is beyond belief.

They’re of the belief that we’re little old Sunderland and should be happy to make up the numbers in whatever division we’re in, that anything vaguely ambitious is “mag-esque” and that wanting the club to better itself is seen as a negative.

Who on here is defending him, can say I’ve seen anyone defend him over the last few weeks
 
We’ve been beaten down to a point where that is considered an acceptable display

Who said that? We should be bullying teams into selling us their best players and dominating the league. We should be appointing better managers and signing better players, but that starts with one man, and his name isn't Phil Parkinson.

I'll only speak for myself unlike you who seems to think they know everyone else's motives, but the reason I'm 'defending' Parkinson is that I think the vitriol and bile he has received over recent weeks is absolutely shameful. He's not my choice, he's not a great manager, but sacking him after a few matches because of the baying mob will reflect badly on the club and we'll get potentially a lot worse in January. Give him a window and if we can't improve, maybe look at changing in the summer.

What's unbelievable is that those threads existed about Ross 2 months ago and the same people are looking for an outlet for their rage and going way, way overboard here. It's embarrassing.

Sack Parkinson, SD please sell us to anyone. Get some proper football people in to make football decisions, oh and can you get shot of these players before yo go Stu. Don’t care if you have a fire sale to make sure you don’t lose any money, but please just go. I await, unfortunately the happy clappers chomping on this reply saying I’m not a fan etc blagh blagh blagh and won’t be a miss by my none attendance at games until this circus leaves town.

Sell us to anyone :D My god yeah, that way we'll get the right person in charge. It's that exact reason that we're in this mess, because Short wanted to sell to anyone who would pay him a few quid rather than do what was right for the club.

Who would you bring in to replace Parkinson?

Personally I wouldn’t be against Billy Smart.
 
Haven't seen many sticking by him myself

I was in the minority that didn't mind the appointment at the time but it seems I was completely wrong
 
The only reason he was brought in is because he does as he is told,this carry on with mcgready was 1 of his given tasks in my opinion
 
There will always be a handful who won't criticize and will defend absolutely anything. We could be in the conference and on the verge of folding and they wouldn't want to say anything about those at the top.
