I am Stanley born and bred, but moved away for 14 years. Got 2 kids, grown up now, who were both born in Yorkshire, and both season card holders and both dislike the deluded Black and whites.
I am now back in DH9.

Has everything to do with where you're brought up Daffy, but granted, to various degrees of feeling you have towards them.

All my life I've been surrounded by plastic fans of all persuasions, and had to fight my corner supporting the team I do.

Even Maidstone, and now Eastbourne (not many I'll agree, but even 1 is too many imo) has plastic mags strutting round in their replica £60 shirts, and who've never, and never will get anywhere near Sid James Park.

Not one, and I mean one, will ever travel 19000 miles in a season, and most seasons come to that, home and away following their team.

Not one of these plastic fcukers will ever have an ounce of passion, loyalty and sheer devotion to the shite they claim to "support".

I despise the fcukers in my own way, but my way will differ from others I know.

Was sat drinking outside at the Peacock tonight and had my flag on display on the railings opposite the pub, quite happy to have a quite pint after a busy week at work, and a long journey up today.

Within 15 minutes, a group of 5 lads were taking a picture of the flag, and asked me if it belonged to me. We started talking, I told them my SAFC story, and the rest of the evening we spent drinking together and exchanged numbers.

Things like this don't happen if you "pretend" to support a team you'll never watch, or travel to where they play.

I really do despise the fcukers, hence the FTM having a prominent place on my flag.

Well it's late now, I've had a few, and tomorrow's another day.

But Daffy, I despise the fcukers, but from a different perspective as I'm not surrounded by them/work with them and couldn’t give a shite where they finish this year, or any other year.
