Mixed feelings I would say. Canny when available but never saw much of him with England and IPL commitments. They may become less regular as he gets on a bit though so Northants may well see the best of him.

Don't think its any coincidence at all, the timing of this announcement. Doubt he'll have any concrete knowledge of what's to come but he'll have an inkling I reckon.

Not sure what they (the players) expected. Of course the focus has to be on dealing with the fallout. Comments like that don't paint them in a good light.
