Aye, he must've been gutted with that! I liked John Parrot's story about his only 147. He made it at the 1992 Match room League. The previous year the prize for a max was a Range Rover, and the following year a Jag. Or something like that. The year he did it the tournament was unsponsored, so the prize was only something like £5k and he didn't even get the whole lot because Hendry made one as well.

Steve Davis won a Lada for one of his max. :lol:

Interesting to note that there were ten official maximums in each of the past two years,

whereas twelve years back two maximums per year was typical.
