David Bedingham

David Bedingham scored his 8th List A century for Western Province in their 15-run Duckworth-Lewis defeat to Lions. Bedingham led the visitors to 259/7 in 42 overs with his century coming from 91 balls as he made 103 from 93 in Johannesburg, striking 11 fours and three sixes.

Arriving this week, but unlikely to be involved before Kent
Been playing all winter. Few nets at Riverside should be sufficient to rehabilitate to English conditions
I would like Roache to be involved v University. Doesn't appear to have played any cricket since New Zealand test

Agreed, no worries at all about Bedders - has been playing 50 over cricket in the last fortnight.

Pure quality. It's telling the one season we lost him for large spells to SA we got relegated.

Broken toe didn’t help either.

I know recency bias is at play here, but I genuinely think he’s the best overseas batsman we’ve ever had. He’s so good, so classy, so often you know that when he gets to about 20 he’s nailed on for three figures. Only ever felt that way about a small handful of Durham players and he’s one of them.

Michael Hussey would take some beating.

He went past Diva century total yesterday

But by the end of this season I wouldn't be surprised if Beds passes Benks for centuries too, Lees should as well who is level. So then they will both only be behind Colly.

I'm assuming Colly has 25 FC centuries for us as he has 35 FC and 10 test ones. This only has him at 22 but this doesn't include the vast majority of the 90s.

Was reading the yearbook the other day and Colly has 25, Lees had 20 as of the end of last season.
