DARYL MURPHY TO THE SCUM!

if i could liken this to one signing from our past it would be Danny Graham, primarily championship forwards, the difference being that Murphy is still in the championship as opposed to when we signed Graham, both massive What the fuck transfers and eyebrows raised when signed and in terms of support a lot of Newcastle fans i know are convincing themselves and others that its a good signing for whatever reason, much like ours did with Graham, the 4 year contract is a massive point too, they'll likely have suitors if and when they get promoted but its a weird one with the likes of Mitrovic, Perez, Gouffran and Gayle as options, probably the strongest strikeforce down there.

I'd be asking questions of Benitez were that us, just a pointless signing unless one of Perez or Mitrovic are off.

To be fair to Danny Graham he had one good premier league season. He was also far younger than Murphy too. Awful signing mind and I thought that before he signed.

They are both similar in that they have no obvious strengths. Neither of them are a 'fox in the box' or have pace, are good in the air or decent dribblers. They're both just lower level average strikers. Graham has a bit more balls than Murphy.

I'm pleased neither of them will ever darken our door again.

Your post tried to compare the mags signing Murphy to our transfer dealings. I don't agree at all.

3 players over how many seasons?

We sold Henderson as Liverpool offered daft money. Whether it was the right decision is debatable.

We sold Bent as Villa offered daft money and turned his head. It was a dreadful decision from Bent's point of view and we replaced him with poor kids in Wickham and Ji.

Gyan's agent literally whored him to China and left us with no choice but to get rid.

Selling isn't the problem, replacing players is the hard part. We have struggled in that respect and we have recently bought Gomez, Bridcutt and Buckley but none of those were 33 year olds for £4M.
You avoided Danny Graham really well there Keith.

He wasted a shitload of money at anfield

I stand by my point of us buying 3 excellent players in January and getting rid of a lot of dead wood, Danny Graham, Fletcher etc.

We've got rid of the 3 I mentioned earlier (Buckley on loan) this summer and yes we need players in but I'll judge that on Wednesday.

The mags are now literally chock a block full of championship plodders. This is a team who are going to take the premier league by storm next season. Chertle.
My point was nufc are looking to get rid of that French lad who became world class this summer and replace him with the likes of Daryl bloody Murphy. It's the same method as selling bent and Henderson and buying Larson and the other lad from brum etc

Erm, Abu Dhabi isn't in China @Keith S30S ! ;)

As others have said, McClaren would have been lynched had he spent £50M on the signings the messiah has made.

This. I know they've got money in from Wijnaldum and Janmaat, and are likely to sell Sissoko, however they've replaced them by spending over £50m on these players. £50m

However the mags try to put a positive spin on this signing they must really feel that part of their soul has died..... Surely
