I remember him playing for Leicestershire against Durham in 1999 in the final championship match of the season where Durham secured a place in the original 1st division. Stevens was a specialist batsmen and was being described as an unfulfilled talent as he kept gettiy out for stylish 20s and 30s by the sky commentators if the time.

I remember watching that game on Sky and spotting Tony Day quite a few times.
