Darren Gough - what’s he been doing

Since he retired? Was in Oz 1995 and saw him play and he was fab. Just seen him on Sky Cricket Debate, looks like he’s spent the last 25 years in pie shop. Loved him for England but he’s also shite on Talk Sport.

Even when he played under David Lloyd for England, Bumble would call him the little fat lad.

Never been small like

even after reading that explanation twice and thinking about it a bit, i'm still none the wiser.

he had the 'dogfuck' ... and it's a good thing.

dogfuck?
Have a guess man. Think about the characters - Botham, Gough, Flintoff, Stokes. Dogfuck. Never beaten, always ready for the fight. It's not that hard to work out

Goughie clipping the West Indies top order including Lara in his first spell at Headingley in 2000. Brilliant day. My brother missed it getting a round in. Caddick cleared up the tail with 4 wickets in an over. My brother missed that having a piss.

We were sat in the Skyrack after the match and my brother was sat there with a face like he just unwrapped a shit on Christmas morning. I know I shouldnt laugh but I always piss myself when I think of it

Goughie was brilliant. Could york the cheese of a mousetrap and he clipped Graham Swann. He did well to get out of the game before one day kits went from being baggy to figure hugging

Just about missed out on Goughie myself, but watching old videos and seeing him interviewed and stuff, I love the bloke. Just seems an absolute fighter with a sense of humour. Remember him being "bored" during a Test match so decided to bowl whilst poking his tongue out "for a laugh"

He's an absolute gobshite on TalkSport, but that's what he's supposed to be. The whole station is based around saying ridiculous, absolute bullshit in order to get people to phone in and argue
When he's talking seriously about cricket on Sky and the likes, he's excellent

He would have made millions in the IPL. The definition of bending you back. Bit of caricature on the radio but who cares. He's just playing the media game.

Great player. Aussies proper respected him for his graft and skill

Heyday was a bit before my time but caught his latter days at Yorkshire (second spell here after a few years at Essex) and although his best days were behind him by then he always commanded an aura from members and teammates alike.

Stumbled across a talk he was giving to the Barmy Army in a bar in Barbados and came across really well. Think it was a BA exclusive event but no one seemed any the wiser that four plebs had snook in. Never listened to his Talksport stuff but great to listen to when talking cricket
