Darlington Mags

Darlo is alright now. The nightlife is much improved from a decade ago. Some really canny bars and restaurants.

Won’t be everyone though. Unless you cover the entire town of Darlington.
I cover the whole of the north east so I can make a fair comparison to other areas based on my own experience. Its an area the company has always struggled. Granted its for a specific job sector but it should still be better than claiming UC.

Like I said much better than any of the other towns in County Durham
Darlo is okay, decent shops and pubs, a sort of Kingston upon Thames of the North, not as affluent though, and not the town it maybe was in the 70s, but then what towns are?.

Was born and brought up in Darlo. Nightlife was banging in the eighties. Not the same place now. More scumbags than ever. Left in 1986 and like to visit but couldn’t live there again. Not in town anyway but some of the outlying villages are nice.

I've had a few topper nights out in darlo. Only downside is once a few dickheads hear that we're from Bishop they want to fight for some reason.

Bishop  the only place in the region that you can't drive through without seeing a horse and cart on the road

Back on topic, I remember the Darlo Mags turning up at a Hartlepool v Darlo game one Good Friday in the early 80s, about 25 of them , big lads, mid -late 20s, though looked like 50 year olds look now, such as it was back then. Came into the opposite end of the ground to were the Darlo contingent were situated and took the poolies by surprise, sneaking up on them from behind, que pandemonium behind the goal, with the poolies scattering to the four winds before realising how few Mags there were and regrouping.
