Dan Neil

I've watched a full replay twice .Suggest some should do the same .Neil wasn't shockingly bad . He did make a couple of misplaced passes but no more than his fellow midfielders . Not sure what he could have done for their goal, perhaps he could have wiped Hamer out .
He said he was cramping up badly from 55 minutes but didnt go off for another 15 minutes.
We looked better once he went off but that was more the change of shape than his performance . At that stage of the match we didn't need two defensive midfielders Jobe supported by Le Fee was much more effective .
Neil is more than worth his place in our squad for next season in the Premiership, especially if Jobe leaves .

I much prefer Jobe in this role. When Neil was suspended Jobe put his best ever performance for us. Seems better option than Neil.
I wouldn’t be upset at all if Neil left as I think he will struggle in the premiership. Too lightweight for the position he plays and definitely should not be captain. I will probably get lambasted no doubt for these comments but Regis made the perfect call by taking him off at Wembley
It appears that it was an injury that forced him off rather than a Regis masterclass which is disappointing.

I agree that it hasn't happened, but because he's a local lad who our fans are desperate to be completely mistake free, any slight mistake is exaggerated and grumbled about ad nauseum.

I love him me and think he'll continue to improve.

Ah sorry understand your point

He defs gets targeted more I agree. Dragged the club from the third division to the prem, should be a legend.

think he will improve even more next year

Not one word in the first bit is true. Some effort that like

Neil,Cirkin and Hume are in the "wait and see how they cope with the prem" category for me like. No idea tbh,IF all three step up then you never know.

Both full backs have had extremely limited help especially Hume. Cirkin has had multiple left hand side midfielders that have left him exposed.
Hume has done fantastically considering he’s had Robert’s losing the ball regularly high up and been caught on the break.
With a fit mundle and Roberts replaced both will be fine.
Neil is a worry. Needs to shift the pressure of captain off his shoulders and maybe will improve his game. Will get caught out if not protected therefore will have to play more defensively. Let’s see what happens.

None of it true but much better balance when he went off at wembly? Ok. I’ve learned my lesson with you. Like talking to a piece of cardboard but the cardboard knowing more about football. 😱

I am going through that with him now ha ha,you were spot on.Think I will ignore him

Haha so you’re basing it all on one 20 min period in the whole season. Im not sure if you’re one a wind up here like.

It’s because you’re talking utter nonsense slagging off all our players, don’t moan when people call you out for it

RLB had about the 70th minute decided to change our shape. It was I believe the correct one in that to get on the front foot we did not need the 2 DM's he prefers.
The fact that Neil was the one with the cramp issues was what made his mind up that it was better to leave Jobe on ,who was looking strong at that time .
I have no problem with that . It was a masterstroke .

Total utter tripe. Roberts works his bollocks off defensively

And he changed the game at wembley actually.

He’s one of them. Can’t see past his nose.

Ok sweat pea.
Let’s see if the club agrees with you eh? Will be scouring the world for a replacement.

What does that even mean? Of course we are gonna strengthen

Never seen a so called fan try and twist such an amazing season into a negative to try and prove their awful negative views. Just made a fool of yourself there like

Thankfully it’s just a minority on this message board and I should remember that

I’m twisting nothing.
I’m not even going to argue with you. I’ve seen your postings before. I seem to think you don’t really know what you’re talking about. Eg, I seem to remember you being vocal about man united spouting absolute tosh about the manager. This is when the knowledge gaps really stand out and you let yourself down.

Oh and my last reply, this is an opinion based board. Guess what? People have different views. You may clap your hands until they are red, some watch the game, positions (even look at statistics) and voice their opinions.
Like I said, in future I’ll talk to a piece of cardboard but you are entitled to your opinion. 👏

Roberts has served the club very well. What an assist in the final. He's turned up when it matters. He scored the crucial goal in the semi final against sheff wed as well in league one. We definitely need better as starters for the premier league but I think he can contribute off the bench and be part of the squad. Should we go down, we know we can count on him in the championship.

As for Dan Neil, I'm more hopeful he can step up to the the premier league standard. Naturally it'll be a position that we strengthen, so hopefully he has to fight for his place in the team and there's some healthy competition.

No you are starting posts to dig out Dan Neil just because we won one game after he went off

Also doing your very best not to mention that your other boo boy Roberts came on and totally changed the game.

Incredibly harsh that surely?

Surely the likes of Frankfurt and Dortmund can see past a 'big name' and have the data to support their interest?

He's played a half a season well then been nothing more than ok at championship level and he's got Dortmund interested and rumours from the PL. He also had PL interest last season and turned down Palace when he'd not settled into a position and shouldn't have played half the games he did.

Some of that is backed up by age and level he's playing at, but there's a bit of a leap of faith with Jobe and there has been here based on talent, ability, but also potential and some of that and the hype around it comes from his surname and largely having the same physical make up as his brother.

Other players of our have been as good, have potential and yet get nowhere near the headlines or constant speculation around them - where do you think that comes from?
