Yes for me, i started really getting into football in the late 70s/early 80s and him and Hoddle just oozed class, got a bit annoying watching them torment us time and again mind especially at Roker.

Not for me. Started in the derby, somewhat controversially, made a handful of appearances for the skunks before a move to Norwich then scratching around in the EFL, Scottish football and eventually the States.
Probably made the most of his ability, got to see a bit of the world, but not world class for me Clive.

He did, however, appear in the hit moving picture 'Goal'. I'm sure we can agree this may not make him a world class footballer but he's certainly a world class actor.
