Dalglish

Nah. Fitted well into a perfectly set up and very good Liverpool side. But as good as he was.he didn't turn up the dial that much. If he'd have done it elsewhere at club or country he might have been. But he was nearly not really imho

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm world class for me is someone who’d make the Planet Earths 23 man squad in the inter-galactic cup finals for the Vulcan82 tournament, plus a few years either side which were his peak earth years imho. Two players for every position in the squads back then anarl plus a spare keeper. Providing we qualified of course.
His position would be described in 21st century parlance as a number 10. Other number 10 candidates at the time of his prime years (77-85ish) were off the top of my head Maradona, Platini and Socrates and no doubt a few others so he’d have his work cut out and it’s not as cut n dried as other some earthlings upthread have posted.
But could he do it away at Zirkon 24 on a Tuesday night in November?

Well before my time watching football but think he has a serious claim to be the best British footballer. Who else are we putting up there, Bobby Charlton? I’d leave Best out given the relatively short successful career he had.

Absolutely
He had poor Jeff Clark doing pirouettes with just a flick of his eyes.
Probably still ranks in the top 3 performances I've seen live

The 0 3 FA Cup game in 82 ?

And yes. Kenny Dalglish was an exceptionally talented footballer. He was brilliant.

Yes for me, i started really getting into football in the late 70s/early 80s and him and Hoddle just oozed class, got a bit annoying watching them torment us time and again mind especially at Roker.
same time for me. was an exceptional player. The Scotland team in that period was probably the strongest it's ever been

Best player not to win European player of the year imo
Did Greavsy win it ?
For speed of thought and skill combined with the ability to look like hes doing it in slow motion ..Kenny was as good as Gert muller and he was universe class!
