I’ve been telling the bairns about getting curry batter buns from the chippy when I was a bairn. They’ve never heard of them, so that has to change. Anywhere still do them? I bet they’re about £2 nowadays!

Grangetown chippy on dinner from school about 18/19 years ago. About 50p or £1 with chips. Food of gods, dash of vinegar on.

Used to get them all the time circa 1988 when I was about 11, curry or gravy for 20p, the local garage had a coffee machine and we'd get a battered bun and a cup of oxtail soup for 10p from the garage.

Those were the days absolute food of the Gods.Sometimes had four in a neet when having dodge down the beach 1or 2 on the way down and defo a couple on the way back home .What a
greedy little barsteward I was.They were 12p when I first discovered this culinary delight.

That sounds class! Used to get CBB's from. the chippy next to The Derby before the match, tremendous, don't think anywhere does them now. My mate got asked to leave the Silver Grid in town years ago after repeatedly asking for one when pissed.
