It depends what the cost is. If it's to rectify any safety concerns then fair enough, but if it's not time critical I'd prefer the money to be spent on football matters.

Fair point this tbh as getting to the PL unlocks a much bigger pot of cash.

Concourses are going to be an absolute nightmare on boxing day.

I'm glad the sheepfolds area has planned improvements for it, if it was your first time at the SOL and you walk over from the city centre through that, it's not very pleasant.

Hand dryers haven't worked in the North Stand loos for ages, and there's been a leak in the roof for as long as I can remember. Does have the feel it's been neglected.
Apparently the carpets towards the Montgomery suite are worn and scruffy too, so it seems like it needs a complete overhaul.

Only issue I have is the size of the concourses. But that’s an expensive issue I imagine

There’s defiantly room outside to widen the Concourses and bring a street food element micro brew bars etc , even if it’s just an outside perimeter with stack like set up for kiosks which wouldn’t cost much

I'll rarely bother going for a pint or food or whatever at half time. Tried to meet a pal during that Sheff Weds playoff game and I couldn't get moved down there.

In general the place could just do with a lick of paint and some TLC. Plenty of places the paint is peeling off.

Them flags with the names of legends on them in the concourses must be minging. Never been taken down, or updated for that matter.

Not sure how we improve it, but it needs improved regardless.

Identify the problem, over to the club to find a solution

Pretty certain something was in the latest meeting minutes whereby the club confirmed they have a multiple year plan to improve the stadium and the external area.

Main entrance looks nice. Is there a lift straight up to the vip area and the “royal box” as though to speak? Long time since I’ve been in the concourse.
