I think it was about 25/1 at William Hill. Yes, I know this is just yet another attempt to devalue England's victory.

If EB is intimating that the Indian players were throwing the games then he should be banned, the Indian cricket board should be informed and legal action should be taken.

I am not sure what is real and what isnt anymore but when unusual results are to the fore, you do wonder. Its more the amount of 'soft cricket' which arousens the suspicions.

Having a suspicion and actually saying a series is fixed is two different things

I wouldn't say there have been any unusual results in this series. The best team in the world beat a team made up, by and large, of ageing has beens on 4 separate occasions by 4 very large margins.

and I dont dispute that but at the beginning of the series name me one person on here who was advocating a 4-0 whitewash and pretty comprehensive at that. Its easy to say 'ageing has beens' after the event

one last big pay day a cynic might suggest

I admit 4-0 was unlikely before the series started, but not impossible. Most people felt certain we would win the series and fairly sure we would win by the 2 test margin required to go to number 1 in the world. It isn't ridiculous to suggest that, with those 2 points in mind, 4-0 was a realistic result.

The reason, I assume, most people didn't predict 4-0 was because they thought that either, the weather would get in the way as it did against SL, or that India would get the better of us at some point. As it turned out, the sun shone and India couldn't handle facing a better team who were on the crest of a wave.

Bloody hell, man - Dhoni had a shocker and he earns £25m per year!!! I can see how he'd be tempted by a couple of grand for tarnishing his reputation and that of Indian cricket.

Ghambir's all over the ads, as is Sachin. If there's one team in the world that should be immune from chucking tests for financial reasons it's the Indian team.

If you're making an honest £25m per year I can't see you being tempted. Even for a few hundred grand. I admit there will be the odd idiot in the world who would do it, but not enough of the Indian Test team to make them lose 4 games by such massive margins.

So you do or you don't think it?

I have doubts and wouldnt be surprised if in a few years something came out.

This also the same Indian side which called a game a draw in the Windies where I thought they should have pushed for the win and said at the time.

Again you hope it isnt the case but if a 19 year old is bowling such blatant no balls it is cearly rife in the game. While I apprecicate he is Pakistani origin was it not the IPL organiser who got done for corruption within the IPL, so it goes on in the sub continent as a whole rather than just Pakistan.

In addition I thought Dravids catching was some of the poorest I have seen for a long time which didnt ring true for someone who batted so well
