With the possibility of getting in Europe, is there anyone on here went to our games against sporting and vasas was at both games but can't remember a lot about them. I was 24 at the time.

I was at the Sporting home leg as me mam wadnt allow me to go to the vasas one due to mad crowd expectations. Mind me da probably didn’t want me interfering with him and his marras drinking.

Spirting were boring time wasting anti football though they did win the ECWC that season. We gave them their hardest games apparently.
 
was at them but really dont remember that much was 15 at time wasnt as big an issue back then mind never thought it would so long before it happened again hopefully

I do get where you're coming from, that there should be an element of prestige for these competitions, and the constant rebranding/renaming and changing formats for all the comps makes them a bit naff. But doing it that way, 99% of clubs in football would have absolutely nothing to shoot for every season.
 
We’d beaten Celtic away, I thought we’d made it and would be in Europe all the time.
The ticket prices had been hiked, so as a young lad I had to give the games a miss.
Little did I know…
So, if we make it this time, don’t make the same mistake!!

Seemed to get along fine until football was reinvented in 1992!
It’s all about money sadly
Having a situation where ( as in the past ) we had Real Madrid v athletico Madrid, or Spurs v Liverpool in à CL final I think is ludicrous.
But hey I’m an old school old fart, what do I know

Yeah, went to both home games.
My Dad and his brother went to Lisbon.

I went to all four games. I was 20 and could write a book about what went on in Budapest 😎
