I used to enjoy a night at the Dogs, my uncle as a kid was a trainer and I know how well looked after those Dogs were because I saw it at close hand but I have been shocked by the realities of the Dog racing industry. As much as the campaign to get it stopped in a noble one, I doubt very much it'll ever be banned but something has to be done about the increasing number of trainers who don't give one thought to either having a poor performing Dog dumped, killed with a bolt throught the head, dumped minus their ears to hide the trainers registration stamp or tied up by the neck, enough for their feet to be touching the ground so they eventually die through their panic and struggling as they try to free themselves.

Having read the arguments against and read the GBGB weak case in defence of Greyhound racing in this country http://www.gbgb.org.uk/TheTruthAboutRacing.aspx I would never pay to go to a Dog track again.
