So from going in as favourites we are now playing knockout cricket 4 games out and have to beat India,New Zealand then two of Australia/India/New Zealand in consecutive matches to lift the cup.

Aye, well that's not going to happen. Don't forget SL, who may fancy their chances against SA and the Windies, then have a free hit at already qualified India to qualify themselves with 12. With our NRR a washout would actually help, probably against India, but even if we win the trophy it'll be a hollow victory now with 3 ignominious defeats already.

The sooner we're out of this ridiculous tournament the better, to be fair. Have we got a record to release?
 
Of course, it won't feel 'hollow' if we play like devils from here and get those two wins. Not that I can see that happening.

We clearly did judging by how dejected the players looked by the end of it. Didn't see many Aussies almost in tears after that pointless series last year, or Pakistanis after the one last month
