Cricket World Cup 2019

Saw something on Twitter that says Australia's first 15 overs were statistically the luckiest of the tournament (in terms of the highest % of false strokes without losing a wicket for that period of time). Losing Roy has also been a huge blow - fucked up the entire balance of the team. Feels like things just aren't going for us in this tournament.

We haven't helped ourselves either like. Vince should be nowhere near the team, shocking selection. Morgan's stubborness in always bowling first and never changing our approach with the bat should also be questioned. I'm not having that we're suddenly shit though, we genuinely looked the best in the world before the tournament.

I think they have put it up there with tests, which I think needed to be done and I am glad it has

I don't agree that its all eggs in one basket like, ODI cricket we play just as much as test, the grounds sell out around the world, we had to start taking it seriously, and I am glad we did

Our test side has been up and down but still pretty decent a lot of the time, we've lost some world class players and haven't been able to replace them IMO the biggest reason

Just think this argument is oversimplified, we had to take ODI more seriously, its incredibly popular and we play so much of it,

Its worked, wether we fail in this WC or not IMO
Totally agree about needing to take 50 over more seriously mate. Pre 2015, we were from the stone age in terms of how we approached 50 over cricket. Just seemed for the last 2 or 3 years that it has been 50 over cricket > everything else - which has been massively showed up.

They are shot to bits confidence wise. No momentum, lost key member of coaching staff, lost a key opening batsman from the squad. Bizzarely not picking their most consistent bowler. A Captain that just sits giggling like a tit on the balcony.

Chin up India next.

Got tickets for the NZ game so hoping its not a dead rubber by then.. Could be a belter of a match as I'd imagine the Kiwis will have qualified by then and Roy will be back in place of Vince....and surely Buttler is due a knock.

Couldn’t even win a game I pretended not to care about
