Anyone else feeling that when we move back to the more balanced two spinner attack we should drop Woakes?

I'd like to see a pace attack of Plunkett, Wood, Archer and Stokes. Would mean Wood and Archer opening - which I'd like to see.

If Plunkett can come in and bat like that at eight, then why not?

Rashid is struggling with that injury i think

Rashids bowling has been woeful this summer so far.

Need him on form if we are going to win this World Cup.

Aye mebbe.

Surprised they left Ali out today and not Rashid. If he's nursing something, surely you rest him on a four-seamer deck and seems a better pitch for off-spin. And Ali was arguably best bowler against Pakistan.

we are conceding far too many runs in the tournament like, more than anyone else

Apple's versus pears comparison. Pitches change everything. Thought we bowled well South Africa, poorly versus Pakistan (though the fielders gave the bowlers no help), somewhere in between here, other than Archer who is different class.

fantastic catch @TheRey will be fuming

He is today, but he was probably our worse bowler against Pakistan

Thats what you get with fast bowlers though with place

Yeah not saying I have any great answer, we take wickets, its aggressive but we are going to leak runs!

Great to watch though, Wood consistent with his longer run up is most encouraging for me long term

Absolutely, Woakes has been very poor up to now - I said the other day, if the ball doesn’t do anything upfront he’s not going to have an impact in games. Fantastic cricketer, but I’d far rather see Archer and Wood opening as you say.

Nasser Hussein is right about Shakib. Highly underrated

Absolutely. Wouldn’t mind him at Durham for a season ;)
