I thought it had drifted long before that but with 10 to go they were within range enough to at least make an effort. I thought we bowled well but they took no risks, in a situation where taking risks didn’t matter.

Whatever their motives, we bloody needed that and we move on to NZ - can’t wait - what’s the weather forecast looking like?

Not me - I was furious when they started leaving him out of the test side a while back. Vaughan needs to keep digging at him - he responded brilliantly today.

Bairstow has a great record at CLS. Including a big hundred in a win v New Zealand, when he and rashid batted well to get us over the line.

Iirc santner dropped him and it turned after that.

Just a word on vince, he caught both kohli and pandya today, so if he does nothing else, he should get credit for that

Great win. Beat Kiwi's on Wednesday and can be full of confidence for the semi but I hope they don't forget those cock ups against Sri Lanka and Pakistan and that they are not invincible.
