Aye I tried to sort it for the new season an fooked it right up. SMBCC has a couple of my old bats anyhoo. Still playable but look uuurggghhh.

What does it matter what they look like?

because some people don't like looking like a tramp:lol:

I'd go to one of the cricket shops and see if you can get a 2011 Newbury or a Salix for a knockdown price. If your looking for a cuswtom made bat its worth looking at crown sports in boldon

Brilliant

Can't go wrong with a Kookaburra.

Never ever ever had a bad one.

I had three all in the space of two months, the guy at the shop thought me dad was taking the piss the third time so he got him to knock the bat in, came back the next week with a massive chunck out the middle of the bat. Got a GM after that like.

Aye seen them whilst browsing. Would get one for the oldskool feel but I didn't like them mate. I've found a site called heritage cricket that's perking my curiosity.

Can recommend crown sports in boldon. They sorted out my gn and did a good job. They do custom bats so you can pick your own bit of wood and spec it up how you want it. I'm going to be buying my next bat from them when my current one knacks up.

I picked up one of these in JJB for £15 recently, I think it was clearance stock, but it's feather light and, I'm told, has a very big sweet spot. I've nee idea if it's actually any good or not having not yet used it. But it was an absolute steel, and worth considering if you need a new bat for next season.

I had a kookaburra big kahuna for last year and although it was heavy (2.11) it improved my batting, just meant i had to lean into the shot and it would race away. Canny for 20/20 cup ties aswell when your looking to send the ball out the ground.

Debating if to have another year with it or buy a crown from Boldon.
