Midfield wasn’t working. Diarra who loves to carry the ball didn’t have any space to run into so he struggled. Le Fee may have given us something different in the middle. Was pretty clear we needed something else. Mayenda should have scored. Then tbh I think our game plan tactics get some joy.

Didn’t like taking both wingers off at the same time for ELF and Roberts basically took any pace we had out wide out the game, should’ve been Le Fee for Sadiki or Diarra imo.
 
I was really disappointed with Diarra today. He struggled to get into the game at all really. He wasn’t reading the game well enough to pick up second balls, his passing was off and decision making poor.

All 3 of our midfield were fantastic last weekend, but all 3 struggled today.

Still learning his game isn’t he, whilst I think he will do well against more open opponents I’m not sure we can rely on him to take 9/10 chances which you need from a striker in the PL

Mayenda scores on 3 minutes and we walk them. Just got caught slow at the start of the second half and was always then going to be an uphill battle

I thought both wingers were struggling, our play was so slow today which helped neither of them. Burnley weren’t adventurous, but we didn’t really press them. I ll get pelters but to mix it up as the runners weren’t working I would have took both Diarra and Sadiki off. DN or Rigg could have came on to support Le Fee and press them.

I agree the game might’ve suited Dan Neil today
 
None of our players even managed a 4/10 on the bbc player ratings. Hume top scorer with 3.88. Josh Cullen got over 8 !!
 
Worries me a little bit with the lack of creativity. Wilson only had one chance .. granted he snatched it.
I don’t think we shoot enough outside the box either.
Need to try and create a bit more.
