Half way through his career had to retire due to injuries and rehabbed himself over the course of 2 years.

And now he's going to the World Cup.

Amazing stuff.

Always thought he was class, never understood how people couldn't see past the price tag and just appreciate all the class saves.

If he plays he’ll become the 2nd oldest player to ever play at the World Cup.

I think everyone appreciated him and he was a great keeper it was just the injury he had at the end. I thought he was great. One of best shot stoppers ive seen in a sunderland shirt. Before the times of keepers being almost sweepers
