Craft Beer

I find similar with Brew York’s Tonkoko. Class on keg, the cans have got a bit of a metallic taste & are nowhere near as good.

Any good. Don’t like the sound of the pineapple like. That can’t work can it?

Just cracked this open. Think I got it from Sainsburys

B&M it might have been
Was really nice mate. Tbh it's like many where the listing's dont actually fully come through. It just added a hit, so sweetness as a finish really.

Really surprised at the prices in the ship isis, £7 for a pale ale
Not much to go on just Pale Ale. Fairly standard depending upon the brewery and abv. You will pay a 5er in a lot of places now for mainstream shite lager.
Yeah just thought it would be cheaper tbh, I live in bristol and you rarely pay that much for craft there. In vaux now and it's much more reasonable, although obviously its brewed here so can be cheaper
As much as I love Bristol it's nowhere near the NE in terms of standard and variation craft wise. I'd say the NE is up there with the likes of Manchester these days.

Going to the Sheepfolds. Wonder if they’ve got that on there?

Just checked in my 600th different beer. Child play for some on here like.
600? Lightweight! ;)
There was a stout in Town Mouse last night, £7 for 1/3. £21 a pint. Would have a few on here apoplectic.

In Vaux now, the Black Wave is superb, what a stout for a 5%er
Think the most I've paid is £8 a 1/3 for some American saison. Worth it.

I thought I was doing ok. Some people might frown upon it. Then you’ve got the likes of @James who does 600 in a month

Saison is something I’ve never got away with. Worse than sours. Mows will be all owa them shortly.

Plenty of very good breweries in bristol. I agree the price is standard but thought it would be cheaper in the NE, obviously that was wrong 😉

We've got you on the IPAs, it can only be a matter of time before you're on the sour bandwagon too.

Stopped off in Bermondsey for a few this afternoon. Highlight was a Cloudwater Nelson Sauvin DIPA.

Bermondsey session planned. We have tickets for the Milwall game. Probs going to Southwark brewing before the game, even though it’s shite

How far is it from the Den? The bairn’s the mascot, so I’m guessing we’ll need to be there early.
Jump in an Uber and it's about 15 mins. 40 min walk.

Not anymore. Think the Squirrel has overtaken me now. Got to take things a bit more sensible now with the bairn in the picture.

Tube / uber? Distance makes no sense to me in London. @James might know. We’re planning to hit that on the way out, then the mile on the way back after the match.

Hahaha you are me from 2004-2019

Don’t worry once the bairn hits 19-20 you rediscover your pisspot mojo

Sours are great to drop in every few pints as a refresher when on a bit of a one.

One for those who know The Smoke. Any good pubs around/within ten mins of St James' Tube? Ideally craft but if not just good pubs where I'm sure I could get get a decent ale/stout. Will have around 2.5 hours to kill. Cheers.

Your best option is to jump on the bus a couple of stops and go to the Harp by Charing Cross. I used to work outside St James' and there's nothing good for craft. Most pubs are owned by the big pub cos so they're pretty naff. The Windsor Castle has a really lovely interior of you can handle a Sam Smiths pub.

Cheers mate. Is it close to Charing Cross station? I'd probably just jump on the Tube as I'd be a bit clueless with the buses.

Edit. If there's any other good shouts re other stops between St James and Kings Cross I'm happy to jump off there for 90 mins before making my way back.
