Sureshot tap room is near to those two and worth a visit. One for the Manchester gurus. Got a free day there next month. Looking to do a couple of taprooms (it'll be CW and Tr). Looking for any good pubs close by to spend a few hours in. Cheers in advance.

Northern Monk, Pelican (owned by Squawk) and Port Street Beerhouse are all near to each other, and only a 10 min walk from the taprooms.
You could get a bit of food at Bundobust nearby too, they always have a good list of beers on.Sadly it's not open on the day (Tuesday) or I'd just have triangled between the three.
Cheers for the info. Will investigate that area (been to PSB before actually).
Was reading about that place earlier actually. Having had a bit more of a nosey I know I've been in the Pelican before too and enjoyed it.You could get a bit of food at Bundobust nearby too, they always have a good list of beers on.
Cask Steady Rolling Man is on at the Hop Knocker and at £4.50 a pint tastes even better, be lucky to be still on by Saturday![]()

If you want a proper pub go the the Marble Arch…not overly close but worth the effort. One for the Manchester gurus. Got a free day there next month. Looking to do a couple of taprooms (it'll be CW and Tr). Looking for any good pubs close by to spend a few hours in. Cheers in advance.
We had a cask last year as a favour for a takeover and it was class, lasted about 4 hours. Got one for each pub this year, haven’t priced it but it’ll probably be more than £4.50 so that seems really well priced.Cask Steady Rolling Man is on at the Hop Knocker and at £4.50 a pint tastes even better, be lucky to be still on by Saturday![]()

If you want something more crafty then Joule in Salford is also worth a bit of a trek.
Unlike your contribution to the cask/keg thread that is helpful, thank you. I won't venture to the latter mind.
If you’re heading towards Marble Arch from the taprooms or vice versa, Smithfield market tavern is a lovely pub in between. Ran by blackjack breweryUnlike your contribution to the cask/keg thread that is helpful, thank you. I won't venture to the latter mind.
Great shout. Blackjack might do average (and often above that) beers but their pubs are cracking. If you’re heading towards Marble Arch from the taprooms or vice versa, Smithfield market tavern is a lovely pub in between. Ran by blackjack brewery
