Just buy a few bottles of St Bernardus Abt 12. Essentially the same recipe and a slightly better beer imo, for a fraction of the price. It's sold in some Tesco which is mad.

I've still got a couple of bottles of Westvleteren in the cupboard actually from visiting the brewery taproom/pensioner cafe place a few years ago. One day I'll get around to opening them. I've also had an Orval in there since we were in the early days of League 1 that I promised I'd drink once we got back to the PL. Feel like you just keep these beers forever instead of just getting them necked!

Keg and Lantern - more of a sports bar but still had 20/30 own stuff on taps
Other half brewery
Brooklyn brewery - went to the taproom and had some good stuff rather then just the lager and pilsner

Didn’t have a bad beer all trip and not too badly priced

Just been watching a couple of craft beer channel episodes on New York and was reminded of this post. Looks an absolutely superb destination for a craft beer adventure.

I can't remember in the city bars, but I went to a bar in Hudson Valley and there wasn't a drink on draft under 7%. It's a shame beer in NYC was so expensive.
 
Got Copenhagen later in the year. Looks tremendous these days for craft. Staying right in the heart of it too. Lucky the missus likes the scene :lol:

Agreed. However, bit of a cliff edge from about pub 6 iirc (certainly in terms of good craft beers - not to be snobby, just we are on a craft beer thread). Plus, as someone else said, he seems to love everywhere :lol:

No, I absolutely agree with you. Although if I had had 6-7 real ales. Id probably end up in some of dives he was in as well 😂

He was speaking highly of the Blandford and the Beehive so I'm not sure he's the best judge of quality. :lol: He basically says everywhere is good, it's a bit of an odd channel.

It's class like. Hire bikes and get about, really is the best way to travel in Copenhagen. Mikkeller Baghaven is a must if the weather is nice - superb.

mind I dragged the mrs into Josephs one night cos I'd been reading Bill Bryson's book where he likes to go in dives and classes it as an "urban extreme sport". I havent been back :cool:

Dive bombing can be good abroad as its all a bit different. Avoid the known ones here though.

the away trips in league one were funny as fuck. Place in Gillingham defied belief. Pints gave me the shits anarl :lol: :lol: :lol:

In the Red Hand now, very nice it is too.
I've just sent my mate who is famously tight a photo of the beer board. A pint of Impie at £13.50 , I've messaged his wife to get the smelling salts out!
