I know it's another thread about Ben Stokes, but I didn't want this to get lost in that mammoth thread on the 'incident'.

Seriously, what the fuck are they doing? How long does it take to assess the evidence and make a decision? The law in this country is supposed to treat everyone and every case with equality - yet it's clear to me this case has been treated completely differently to if it had been a layman.

So, for answers, polite enquiries can be sent to:

[email protected]
[email protected]

Now I don't see any harm in asking the question, regarding when we can expect an answer. As I say, polite enquiries aslong as they're well written and well mannered should generate a response. We live in a country that claims to be transparent when it comes to the freedom of information, so it's fair to assume they'll be responsive and polite back........

I read somewhere that the CPS aim to make decisions within 28 days of files being passed

That is well overdue as it was 28 November when it was passed to them

I would guess that's working days excluding weekends and bank holidays ... which would mean 28 days is round about now.

I don’t get how Hales is free of this.

Let him go pretty much straight away and spend 4 months fannying on with stokes.

Baffling as Hales does the worst thing in that whole video and lucky didn’t kill the bloke.

Same can obviously be said for stokes knockout punch, but then he was involved in the fight.

Hales wasn’t, not a single self defence argument at all for him

But Ben is the one with the more chequered past and is the higher profile player.

Going for headlines rather than applying the law, otherwise Hales should still be right in the shit.
