Covering night shift

Could think of nowt worse now tbh done all kinds of shifts over the years but nights shift is awful.
Each there own i know lads who prefer it.
At ours we do a week of nights followed by a week off.
When working nights, I'm straight to bed when I get in, about 7am
Get up about 1pm ish, have the afternoon and early evening before going to work.
After my last night, I stay awake all day and go to bed at "normal" bedtime to get back into my daytime routine. Seems to work for me but we only do one week of nights every 10 weeks
That sounds a better option mind.

Worked some sort of nights most of my working life.
Did 4 on 6 off , 2 days 2 nights. 12hrs for about 12 years before covid.
Then about 18 month of 4 x 8hr nights.
And about last two years of 3 on 4 off 12hr nights.
4 blocks, with a 7 day break one month and just Saturday off the next. (Sad six :( )

Fooking hate them now I'm getting older, feel like shìt on me days off.
