My mam was from North Ormesby and most of her family lived in the Ormesby and Netherfields/Thorntree area in their later years.

Never lived over that way myself but used to visit them a lot as a child

That’s where they were from Netherfields. My godthat club was stuck in the 60’s. No women allowed in the bar ( bar staff were female 🤔 ). Bingo Sunday lunchtime , all the women were allowed to play in the lounge. Soon as it finished they were turfed out . I asked some one what was that all about and he said there’s Sunday dinner to be cooked 🤣🤣🤣

Only boozer I've been in over that side of Boro is the Fountain at Ormesby.
There was a club in Stockton similar to what you've described
No women allowed in the bar yet the bar staff were mainly women.
Not been in for years but a lad I know says it's not like that now (the one in Stockton).
 
Boro should be looking to overturn the goal difference on Monday if they have anything about them.

Genuinely funny at this point.

We've not got a great record at Sheffield United.
Would be the icing on the cake though, beating Wilder's team to go top.
We have improved greatly since Hellberg took over.

Still plenty time for you to turn it round though - you are still top.

Our form since late November suggests a struggle to finish in the play offs to be honest.

Should be a cricket score a week on Monday.
 
Great to see coventry bottling it. They just don't have good enough strikers imho.
Hope Boro beat SU to go top, and it won't be long before my mate's TB's are above them anarl.
Then it's on to the mix with Millwall, Hull, etc.

Always thought Carrick was decent.
Didn't help that players were sold in successive January Windows and not replaced properly - dunno if he 'sanctioned' that or not.

He'll have most likely learnt from his 'mistakes' at Boro and has better players to implement his system at United.

Hope he continues to do well
