If Tyreece Campbell scores four against them this weekend then I might start to believe that.I hope they do what Millwall did in the 1995-96 season, top at Xmas and ended up getting relegated.

They were never ahead in 210 minutes of football. We played them over two games. We scored more than them. We didn’t get lucky at all
This is the team you're claiming deserved to win, aye?Unless the strategy was to get their defender to put mayenda clean through, and to get their keeper to let it an easy shot, then it wasn't a masterclass.
Hahahahahahahaha great point well madeThis is the team you're claiming deserved to win, aye?
It's basically what we did with Clarke and Stewart, except even more profitable. Which is why I think you'll be in a strong position to spend if you go up.Well yeah, we signed Gyokeres, Hamer and Sheaf for a total of £2.5m and with add odds made just over £45m so far.
I get what you're saying. It's exactly why Mark Robins was sacked. He had a big budget to replace Gyokeres and Hamer.
Show your workings.Unless the strategy was to get their defender to put mayenda clean through, and to get their keeper to let it an easy shot, then it wasn't a masterclass.
If those two things hadn't happened we would have lost the tie and you'd be blaming RLB.
They’d be like Ipswich I reckonGood championship manager he’ll struggle in the PL though (again)
Mark Robins is effectively responsible for building the two teams that currently occupy the automatic promotion spots in the Championship.Lampard became a bit of a joke figure before this Coventry job and I could never understand why. Criminally underrated as a manager imo.

Didn't say they deserved to win. This is the team you're claiming deserved to win, aye?
What header? Coventry didn't have any chances according to people on here!Yeah most games come down to fine margins and fans react too far one way or another based on the result. If Haji Wright had buried that header right at the end of the 90 like he should have done it would have went from fans saying it was a Le Bris masterclass to an awful strategy in the second leg that cost us the game.
Didn't say 1-0, but we would very likely have lost the tie.Show your workings.
You can't just take away our 2 goals and say well we would have lost 1-0, that's not how it works![]()
Good point. And so they'd be massively hamstrung in terms of PSR if they go up like Leeds right?Outside of clubs with parachute money, Coventry are the biggest spenders in the Championship over the last few seasons combined.
It always gets overlooked but with the money they have spent, they'd want to be seriously challenging for promotion!
I actually agree with you about narratives and that coaches are often wrongly judged on results alone.Didn't say they deserved to win.

Exactly. And when we go on a bad run this season, people who are arguing cov was a RLB masterclass will be saying how he's lost the dressing room or some nonsense, when it'll just be because we haven't had the rub of the green for a while. People just invent narratives (normally involving managers) to explain the result when really over the course of one match it usually comes down simply to who takes their chances on the day.
Didn't say 1-0, but we would very likely have lost the tie.
But they've been worse than people expected. Last season we ha two teams with 100+ points and a third with about 97.
I was more meaning the challenge to get promoted.Teams getting 100 points doesn't make it a better quality league. You could equally argue it makes it worse.
3 times in the 1st leg we went through 1 on 1 with their keeper, their only real chance was their goal. 2nd leg they absolutely bossed the 2nd half, but it was tight otherwise.
Decline kick-started by Craig RussellI hope they do what Millwall did in the 1995-96 season, top at Xmas and ended up getting relegated.
