Coventry, Ipswich and Hull

I personally think Coventry will struggle the most just from hearing interviews etc from there owner and people involved in the club they seem to be set on " rewarding the current squad" unfortunately as we know and found out you have to do it the Hard way and forget about them Morales if your wanting to be a premiership club

Now now don't write them off before a ball has been kicked as they did to us. I am quite eager to see how a team that out classed us over two legs in the Play Off Semi Finals - despite being unable to win either of those games - gets on in the Premier League.

It will be very much a case of them having to put their money where their mouth is come August - or perhaps in their case it won't be.

If it's true Coventry are only spending 40m euros, then they are finishing bottom.
Coventry City is preparing to invest around £40 million into squad reinforcements following their promotion to the Premier League. The club has also taken a major financial step off the pitch by purchasing the Coventry Building Society Arena, allowing the Sky Blues to own their home ground for the first time. [ , , ]
The £40M figure is being allocated in several distinct ways as the club gears up for the top flight:
  • Transfer Budget: Manager Frank Lampard and owner Doug King are reportedly targeting this £40m mark specifically for transfer fees to secure new signings. [, , ]
  • Wage Adjustments: A significant portion of this investment will be required to fund wage increases for current players. Because promotion triggers automatic contract bonuses and higher salary demands, the club needs to balance transfer spending with their wage bill. [, ]
  • Outgoing Deals: The club may generate additional capital through player sales, with figures suggesting up to £18 million could be recouped from the sale of first-team stars. []
If you would like to explore these developments, you can:

Hull's manager:

The boss and I talked, but he didn't say anything about the money, we still need to sit down seriously. However, we do know some information. Coventry, as the winner of the Championship last season, plans to invest around 40 million euros in reinforcements, but they have had an expensive and strong team with which they attacked the Premier League for two years. Ipswich is reportedly preparing around 80 million.

Cov are doomed if they only spend that much.
We spent half of that on getting the ground up to PL standards.

Coventry won the second leg 1-0 at the SOL to take the tie to extra time.
