County Cricket in October.

Iamme

Central Defender
Notts v Warks last game of season..

Was talking to Clive Ekin BBC commentator for West Midlands on the last day.

He suggested playing in October. Monday to Thursday.

And having a 10 over tournament on a Friday with 4 counties at 1 ground.

So far here 3, 4 day county games would have been completed with no rain. Sun tan weather today.

One Friday a wash out, first Friday of the month otherwise all games would have gone ahead.

Good idea??

Games would have to finish early because of the fading light. In the latter half of October they'd have to finish at around 4pm.

Early starts wouldn't work either due to the amount of dew on the ground.

He did suggest a stop to it after 3 weeks hence the post, as it would end after 3 weeks in October.

So this week would be the last week and all games completed.

Ive got a much more radical idea.

Play at least 3 rounds of CC games in August.
When its raining and 200 people over 60 in the grounds meaning anyone on school holidays can't watch cricket as they scared of county champs games been worse than an old peoples home??

Been through this 10 years ago as to why.

Good Evening Mr Bostock.

Yes, but the crack in the old people's home has got to be more interesting than the monotonous, repetitive drivel that you post on here.
