Great debut. Hope he has a fabulous career ahead of him. If he bowled at 87 mph and had figures of 1-187 then he'd be fast tracked into the England team if Atkinson is a doubt. Unfortunately, he only bowls medium fast so that's him buggered.

You need to bowl fast in Australia,doesn't matter about accuracy. The birthday boy said so.
 
Liam Dawson has retired from First Class cricket with immediate effect. Another blow for Hampshire’s prospects of staying in Division One, not that he was doing particularly well this season anyway.

A bit strange, he obviously thinks his test chances have gone after his appearance last summer although I am not sure that was definitely the case.

Yeah, seems very much that way - it’s clear he doesn’t have the energy or appetite for pounding the county treadmill.

100% this he batted like it in the warmup game for the Ashes too.

Then continued on with the moron streak at times in the Ashes when he should have kicked on for multiple tons.
