Somerset have now been docked 4 points for their pitch with 4 more points suspended for two seasons.
, "we are pleased that the tribunal rejected any suggestion that the Club deliberately sought to produce a Substandard wicket".
How can CDC state that?-are they mindreaders?

Notts showing how important it is to get your overseas players right even in the modern day game when more than likely you will only get them for part of the season. Oneill early season and then Abbas mid season.
Not a massive fan of Notts because they don’t tend to produce England players and instead pick off the likes of Worcestershire’s and Leicestershire’s best players.

But it would be great to see someone other than Surrey win it and I love Trent Bridge.

Very true but the point i was making is how important it can be to get your overseas decisions right. Oneill basically won them 2 matches at the start of the season and got them off to a flyer.

I'm surprised that Sky are not showing a game from the final round of matches given that there is still plenty to play for.

I know all games are on YT but it’s not a good look for a broadcaster who has a dedicated cricket channel. Especially when they are happy to show live IPL and 16.4 games.

No game at The Oval.

Surrey signing Rahul Chahar for the last game

Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. Whilst it may well help Durham, it makes an absolute mockery of the competition.
This needs to be stopped. No transfers after the end of July.

I would agree with this. With the caveat perhaps that dispensation could be given for international call-ups/injuries but I’d suggest a similar guidance to concussion substitutes to apply where you’ve got to replace relative like for like.

Chahar, 26, was registered to play for Surrey at the start of September, in line with ECB regulations, but was not required to play in the club's home matches against Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire.
That latter fixture ended in a thrilling 20-run loss that has handed Notts control of the title race going into the final week.

All seems very ‘loophole’…

Rules are the same for everyone like.

We went for someone playing club cricket instead of an international. They've just got more money.

We can't really criticise other counties when we've exploited the same daft rules this season.

Imagine Worcs would have liked the match winning performance from Jake Ball not to happen.

We'd already be relegated if not for his performance.

I’m not complaining, I’m just saying that it appears they’ve signed him ‘just in case’.

As you rightly point out, they’ve got the money to take that sort of gamble.
