The irony is the players who are using the Kookaburra balls won't be going to Aus. Apart from maybe one or two.

The rest are using the Duke in the test series against India.

Northants and Derbyshire both on winning chases for anyone wanting to watch something competitive

7 of the 8 matches today finished in draws.

Good advert for the Kookaburra...not.
It’s not the first time either, surely the previous games when it has been used should have told them it’s not good for the game in this country.

Sometimes there is nothing wrong with saying ‘ We thought we were doing it for the right reason’

‘ However on reflection it been shit for the competition’

Sometimes it takes a big man to accept their mistake, if they keep preserving with it, wrong decision.

Well Keysy is certainly a big man🥪🍰🥗🍲

:D Yeah but is he big enough to admit his mistake??

Seriously though I don’t mind him, done some great things namely appointing the current captain and coach

But miles miles off using this ball horrendous for the game and the competition
I get the logic. But clearly it hasn't worked, and as someone else said its completely pointless as the England bowlers are currently using the Dukes anyway. Just bin it.

Hopefully the kookaburra works in our favour for the game against Surrey and we can get a draw.

I’ve bought a ticket for Day 3 of Leicestershire v Middlesex on Tuesday next week. Looking forward to my annual trip to Grace Road.

We're not much cop this year mind. We struggle to take 20 wickets away from home 'cause every side just lays out an absolute motorway to negate our quicks (which is fair enough, it's very frustrating but it's their right to do so), and for some reason we don't have any kind of serious spinner to come up with an answer.
And our batting, bar Sibs, is brittle as fuck.

We might win the title - i definitely doubt it - but this is definitely the weakest we've been since pre 2018.

He also appointed Mathew Mott:rolleyes:.
Stokes stepped up and asked for the job,not so sure Key should get that credit on that appointment.
Marty on his match review produces some scathing statistics on the use of The Kookaburra without mentioning Key.

Borthwick is being recalled to Durham side v Surrey according to Campbell.

This is what Rob Key said after it was used last year.

“I think it’s been fantastic,” said Key. “You see what four-day cricket is meant to be. I’ve watched quite a bit this week and seen some bloody good cricket. I would use the Kookaburra all the time. English cricket would be much better off for it.”

Madness. I think it was 17 draws out of 18 matches.

I hope someone like Atherton calls him out if he defends the Kookaburra again.

It seems like every genuine cricket supporter can see what is wrong with cricket in England but those in charge of the game can't.
