County squads for opening rounds starting to be released. Surrey look very strong although light on spin options. Warwickshire start season without Rushy and Hanon Dalby both crocked.
Somerset as ever look competitive not sure about Hampshire this year and Essex look the same as they have for the past few years.

Like to have a bet on this, Surrey extremely strong but can’t back them at even money, so my tenner gone on Somerset at 6/1
Somerset have a talented squad. I'd like to see them do well.

Surrey have a tough start to the season at Essex while Somerset should fancy themselves at home against Worcestershire. Plus good weather and no kookaburra ball means a good chance of a result in both games. An Essex win and a Somerset win would certainly make an interesting start to the season.

Yeah I have nothing against Surrey, they a cracking outfit with incredible depth and have been exceptionally consistent for a while now so fair play to them.

But would be nice for the season to be more competitive at the top and for a county like Somerset to win it.
