I watched Durham at New Road in 2022 (the game Stokes almost hit six sixes in an over) and it’s easily my favourite ground in the country. It was a beautiful day and the cathedral in the background looked stunning. Its everything that you think of when watching cricket in England.

I also watched Durham against Worcester last season at Kidderminster and whilst it was great to watch Pottsy rip through their batting line up it was a grey cold April day in crap surroundings.

Unfortunately I think New Road is beyond saving now.
My favourite ground in the world. Absolutely beautiful place, and wonderful people.

When we won the title there in 2018, club officials came around and gave every Surrey supporter a completed and filled out scorecard as a momento, free of charge.

If there's any county I always look out for and want to succeed, it's Worcestershire.
Good question guess that Somerset’s gain.

Think they will be Surrey’s main challenges imo
Not arsed about the cheating cider guzzlers, they'll bottle it like always

Beat me to it by a minute

Bad news for Hampfrica.
Would be a lovely irony that in their first season after being sold to the IPL.

That the NOC the ECB have put on all leagues but the IPL could ruin their season.

He was their top run scorer in CC last year. Dawson was second and no doubt will be chasing T20 coin too. They've not got Abbott or Abbas signed up currently for next year.

Fingers crossed for relegation for them, albeit with IPL money they can probably buy whoever they want.

I think tbf it has been Surrey’s tremendous depth and fantastic performances year in year out that has won them championships rather than any other teams bottling it!

Best team has simply won and played the best cricket I.e Surrey

The cider cheats bottle it in all tournaments mate, not just the Championship

You're right though, we are amazing.

They earn less in a county championship receipt wise than from one T20 game or hundred game..fair play to Vince allowed to earn 400 grand for a few months work as he should be. Footballers need to learn. Why will Hampshire care or miss him.for the county championship for the equivalent of an under 16s premier football club rmoney generating for..they be glad tomsave the wages for a pointless competition.

He's making 100k and not 400k. Got no issues with Vince doing what's best for his family. Seeing as he's been a victim of his house being smashed up by criminals.

The rest is your usual claptrap nobody gives a flying fuck what you think.

Looks like the ECB's decision to limit No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) will mean more players retiring from red ball cricket early, with Vince being the first.

cant blame them really, the money as county cricketer aint that great unless you play for England or play in the Franchise leagues, im sure someone said the average wage at a county was around £75K

Confirmed Vince moved onto a white ball deal only.

Can't blame him at all. Just sad can see this happening more and more now.
