County Cricket 2024

Not sure how they work it out but if i was in the Durham management team i would be hoping for two championship fixtures against Worcestershire and Sussex next season.

Looking at the fixtures the Australian domestic season actually starts before our domestic summer finishes.
I think counties are going to be very creative when it comes to their overseas players. Looking at the last round of championship matches and t20 finals day a lot of teams either had 1 or none playing.
Looks like Hampshire will finish the season strong with the availability of their two overseas seamers who's main employer is Hampshire a big factor.

Sure it was Cousin who died, But remember him playing at Burnopfield when i was a kid, They had a class Under 18's at the time, think it had a few who all played league cricket for years after, nothing as good as playing for england mind

Is a draw worth half a win in the County Championship ? From a draw being worth exactly nothing in the era of three-day matches it is now of more value than a draw in football.

Cheers Marra . I knew they both played cricket for Burnopfield . There’s a memorial bench outside the dressing rooms at the ground 👍

Lancashire 15 points behind Notts. Notts play out of form Warwickshire at home in the final round whilst Lancs travel to Worcestershire.
Which reminds me - all credit to Worcestershire from me this year given all the problems they've faced with injuries, the death of the player and problems with flooding of their pitch. Given all the challenges they've faced they've done really well.
