I remember the Essex v Surrey game.

Henry Blofeld was a newspaper reporter st the time and left early as he had to be elsewhere at the time.

He missed the entire Surrey innings.
 
Archie Vaughan looks a talent mind, he opened the batting against Surrey, which is a good effort and got 2 wickets already. Thought he was good against us and gets really nice action

Somerset are one of the best at producing players, but it must be said it’s mainly due to the top class private schools in the area.
