County Cricket 2024

Christ Kent have Matt Parkinson as a number 8

Their number 11 scored 48 in the first dig as night-watchmen, you'd have thought that deserved a promotion.

Some fantastic umpiring in the Sussex/Gloucs game.

Falling for Gloucs over the top appeal.

Was some talk on the County Cricket Natters podcast that they’re playing with four number elevens :o

Cricket Australia probably to blame. They had lined up Agar and Bartlett.

Then pulled out Bartlett completely and Agar played first two games and so unsure why he missed this one. Gilchrist played first two then missed this one as well.

Edit: Kent coach says they don't want to flog Agar/Gilchrist so sounds like they rested them both for the tougher game

Good article/interview with Cam Steel in the Times today (found it by accident in library) talks about getting the yips about 2016 and then loosing form with the bat and his battle back.

I thought we were a bit premature in releasing him after his confidence took a blow after receiving a concussion injury. Very pleasing to read of his progression.
