Thought I would have a look at where we stand against the other counties since our first season. The list of Title wins since 1992 is now as follows;
Warwickshire 4
Durham 3
Surrey 3
Sussex 3
Leicestershire 2
Nottinghamshire 2
Essex 1
Glamorgan 1
Lancashire 1
Middlesex 1
Yorkshire 1
Pretty impressive considering where we started from as complete novices and perennial cannon fodder through the 90's.
Also interesting to note that 11 of the 18 first class counties have been champions at least once since we came in, which just shows how much more even cricket is as a sport at domestic level compared to football. It must also be a little irritating to the three counties who have never won the title in their history (Gloucestershire, Northants and Somerset) to see us having so much success in so short a space of time. I bet it especially annoys Somerset after having been runners up last season.[DOUBLEPOST=1379719907][/DOUBLEPOST]I realise this might come across as a 1992 mag type football post and that cricket was not invented in 1992, but it shows how well we have done. Would love to see us win a few more and actually make real progress up the all time table. Its unlikely we could ever catch the likes of Middlesex and Surrey in my lifetime and the Yorkies are out of sight, but it's not inconceivable we could get into the top half of the all time table. We are already ahead of 5 counties in that and level with 3 more. Next target would be to catch Worcestershires 5.
