The time to have stood up was during the voting process but 1.3 million reasons to sell your principles sadly
As I've said all along, country cricket is not and incredibly profitable game, as everyone knows - the more revenue you pull out of it the harder it gets. How many games can you take away and competitions can you devalue from a domestic season before it becomes impossible to fund?

The role of the ECB is to serve the counties anyway. Money comes into the ECB via international cricket etc and they in turn pass some of that to the counties.

That was the theory. The ECB have over 450 employees which seems grossly overstaffed. Hopefully the new chairman will sort this out. Never mind cut the counties. Cut the ECB.
