Counties who contribute nowt to England

Matthew Spriegel and James Middlebrook come to mind. Completely forgot Swann and Panesar played for them.

Edit: Now that i think about it, who was the last Gloucester player to get a game for England?

Alleyne played a few ODIs I think. Cant think of any others recently

I would like to see at least one county to try and do something different, instead of producing standard medium pace county players, try producing a real turning pitch, embrace it, and become the place where young English spinners want to play.

Nobody does it, it is weird, just try and be a bit different and create a niche for yourself

The last county who did that where Northants with excellent results as far as producing spinners for England, The problem now is that the counties have got their way as far as the fixture list and each county has played 6 or 7 championship matches before the end of May, so they can play plenty of one day cricket in June July and August.

Mark Alleyne? Only one day stuff though. Did they have a quick who played one game? Something Smith?

Is that a quote from Swann? He said almost exactly the same thing about Northants, said they walked division 2 when they did it.

Nah, when did he say this? Yeah that's true they did, no idea why no-one tries it again, especially a second division side.
