Could Leicester go bust?

would you take a PL title and FA cup win if it meant sunderland were out of business within 10 years?
No, because it would all have been for nothing. I remember similar posts when Wigan won the FA Cup and I certainly wouldn't swap places with them, who are still in business.

I wonder what happened to the Leicester fan who used to be on here banging on about how they were on solid financial ground due to their geographical midlands location, proximity to motorways and railway lines, one club county, catchment area, loaded owners etc etc etc. Leicester was THE thriving UK City apparently due to its population growth anarl.
He wasn’t having it that in football past long term performance IS an indicator of probable future long term performance and that Utd, Liverpool, Barca, Bayern, Madrid etc weren’t bricking it over the Foxes…………yet here we are.

They represent a cautionary tale. As we plummeted to League One, I'm sure plenty of us looked on at Leicester with a Premier League title in the bag, Champions League football, seemingly a club that gatecrashed into the big time. They also won the FA Cup on 2021.

Here we are 10 years after their title and they could be heading out of business. The authorities who write the PSR rules will see it as evidence of why they are needed and for the likes of us, we can only be grateful for an ownership seeking to run the club sustainability but also aware that nothing can be taken for granted in football.
Carpe diem!
They have six players paid over £70k a week?! Am I naive thinking we probably don't have that many in the premier league? Xhaka obviously but after that... Not sure of any? Maybe Alderete, Mandava and Mukiele?

For Leicester Pereira might have commanded that when he signed. Maybe Daka and Winks.

Idiots if paying that squad of plodders that much
Aye but we’ll need to pay it to keep the squad together and build on it.

I’ve had a soft spot for Leicester since they upset the big boys in 2016 but having read what they did back in 2002 when they shafted all of their creditors I find myself having little sympathy tbh.

Awful if true for fans of that club but ultimately not one Sunderland fan would give a fuck unless they have crocodile tears

Leicester is a dump. And not just any old dump. A dump that Stig would be ashamed of.

It could have the only teleporter station in the galaxy and it would still be a dump.

Perhaps somebody who could turn it into a profitable hotel that people stay in, like the majority of other hotels in the world. Just a thought like.
Just a thought like, but I wonder why nobody else in the world has come up with opening a hotel on a football trainning ground. Just a thought like🤣

Its some training ground like, even has a 9 hole golf course that they kept from the original golf club🤣 its a pretty vast complex
Yeah and it costs 15 million pound a month to run, that's an insane amount even for a top 6 prem club. 100 million to build, wonder how much they owe on it

No idea, but not much can be done with it really besides being a training camp. I suppose forest is the only team near that could potentially buy/ use it as its in a pretty good location even for their squad to get to as its nowhere near leicesters ground and away from Leicester City centre and marinakis has the dosh just to buy it on the cheap if it was sold off. Could be quite a shrewd buy
