I'm inconsolable inside mate, trying to put a brave face on but its hard. We were down ages ago if we're honest but winning on Friday the way we did gave us all false hopeHome now mate, just out of the shower, me lugs have thawed out, I’m not hurt and upset any more, just f**king furious.
Therefore you will know we won’t always be shite. Chin up mate, our time will come again.
I know how you feel mate. I feel like I’ve been pulled inside out.I'm inconsolable inside mate, trying to put a brave face on but its hard. We were down ages ago if we're honest but winning on Friday the way we did gave us all false hope
6 or 7 players out of contract, 6 or so players playing elsewhere that will be sold eg Borini, 7 players on loan who will leave. Thats what...neck end of 20 players? We have seemingly buttons to spend on replacements, unless the club is sold and someone comes in with some money and some managerial accumen.Dead and heading to league one. Could we end up being worse and find ourselves dealing with another relegation battle next season?
I see no hope or bright spark in this side, if ever one appears it soon gets shut out.
I have no confidence in the club management. they are a complete shambles.Yes it could get worse.
Going to be a huge summer as we will need about 15 players again. Does anyone have the confidence that we have the type of scouting network in place to pick up that many players successfully? That's without even mentioning the budget, not many at that level have a budget.
This. It does not have the makings of anything but a disastrous season as it stands. We need major investment in the squad before the start of the season-a whole new team practically. Under Bain and Short the required funds wont be put in and another relegation battle will be likely without a takeover. Our squad is terrible.
When I find myself in times of trouble mother Mary David to me, speaking words of wisdom not gravy.
Our natural level now. Sad but true. We simply cannot compete in the top two tiers because you need to buy players.League 1 FFP is a salary cap of 60% of turnover, and the cap excludes players who signed long contracts before this season (so Cattermole and Rodwell won't count). With a £31m parachute payment, and even crowds of 20,000 or so, we'll have a bigger cap than most clubs' turnover. We could offer a few hundred more than any other club, and still cut the wage bill, assuming some higher earners leave this year. And the quality of the AoL will make us more attractive to clubs wanting to loan out players; I know people moan about loans, but all League 1 clubs use it to the max, sing other players on 1 year contracts on frees, and pretty much have half a new squad every year.
I agree with this ^ However If Short is still owner nothing will go as expected and we may drop again.Absolutely it could get worse. Everyone on here last season seemed optimistic about how good life would be in the Championship, not in terms of promotion, but certainly in terms of winning games and entertaining the fans. Look how that has turned out.
No one will have any idea what team we will start next season with. We will not invest money into the squad - if we were going to do that we would have done so in the last 2 windows to ensure relegation didn't happen. So yes, without doubt next season could be hugely problematic and difficult especially as our brand off the pitch takes hit after hit.
We need a new bastard goalkeeper for a start

That all depends on how good an entirely new team a new manager will have to build with no money.is.Dead and heading to league one. Could we end up being worse and find ourselves dealing with another relegation battle next season?

Rotherham were relegated last season with 23 points, and are currently fourth. The other two sides that went down are in the top two places. The gap in quality is huge.
Nah but I think we`ll struggle for a couple of years in the wilderness, at least.Dead and heading to league one. Could we end up being worse and find ourselves dealing with another relegation battle next season?
