Baffling how he has scored so many runs over his career when you consider he hasn't really got any shots except the hook or pull.

Ever since I've watched him he hasn't been able to handle anything on or just outside off stump when its good or full length.

i find it hard to believe some sides have take so long to aids him out.

Nothing short and he is goosed!
 

As a batsman I thing he's excellent, he is just having a rough patch. I never wanted him as a Captain, and still don't, he just comes across a stuttering halfwit most of the time, as for the on field stuff, he looks like little boy lost.

Cook and Moores will be gone before the year is out.

On a side note India have only ever won 5 tests in this country? Found that quite staggering....I'm sure I heard Gower correctly mind.

He has scored masses of runs with the leg glance and the clip off his toes to square leg. The fact that teams have worked this out and are bowling 4th stump to him is what has led to his struggles.

Yep. I was more meaning his scoring shots. I didnt mention the clip off the toes cos any batsmen can get runs from those balls.

But that is his main scoring shot, well it was his main scoring shot. There are plenty who have made a career out of legside shots only.

Yes if he wants to get to 100 from 100 scoring shots ;) he is going to get fullish outside off balls for the rest of career, and I'm not sure he has the ability to get round it.

He got over his last slump and I'm confident he'll get over this one. He needs to be relieved of the Captaincy though, it's clearly weighing down on him

Im not. He got out last time cos bowlers still fed him what he wanted. They wont anymore.

PN states that same fact in the Mail today. Were pretty crap until the 80's and most tours were only 3 Tests.

Id love to think so, but he has had an issue with the offside all the time Ive watched him. His footwork also leaves a lot to be desired at times so he isnt even able to get himself in positions to pull the ball from off to on (like KP could for example).
